Welcome to the Paper Battles player database. This is an ongoing project for players and public alike to tell you all you need to know about the paper battles universe.
The site is maintained by all its members who are asked to submit new content whenever they have the free time. It's primary purpose is to provide a source for players to store there own notes, so as to be useable anytime anywhere, and to allow players to read everyone else's notes, and immerse themselves more properly in the roleplaying world.
In time, we hope to be able to add a significant roleplaying aspect to the forums, so that encounters may take place on the site, as well as in person or by email.
Paperbattles also shares a mailing group, moc.spuorgelgoog|noitatsytinu#moc.spuorgelgoog|noitatsytinu Which serves as a medium to progress the game through.
Please read the Wiki rules before posting or editing any articles

Paperbattles itself is a ruleless roleplay, designed in part by myself (Mike) and a school friend (Eddie), when we where each roughly 11 years of age. It progressed throughout our school years in many and varying forms, sometimes making using of paper and pencil methods of warfair, and other times implementing dice based systems. Eventually as the game and characters evolved, even abstracted ruled methods became impratical, and the game became one of debate and compromise, encounters resolved by fair and impartial desisions between the playerbase, the storyline created and managed by the 'Gamesmaster' who runs the various races that form the backdrop on which the game is set.
Players in the game simply interact with the world in whatever way they best see fit. Some form mighty empires, leaving behind such base needs as characters, and focusing entirely on the activities comitment and design of the empire. Others create highly detailed command structures, detailing ambassidors, captains, Admirals and generals, which they use to interact with other players and defeat GM based encounters. Others create individual characters, focusing there entire being into that one personality, and there struggle for life within the world of paperbattles.
The game is set in the -very- far future. Where technology is normally gone beyond the limit of modern day imagination. This poses some unique challenges and rewards for the players as they struggle to define existance, and life goals in an ever changing muliverse. Religion has come and gone, characters have warred with, and defeated the majority of all godly universe, going so far as to defy their own purposes for existance. Literally anything is possible
If anyone new is interested in joining, I would ask they contact me, as 'FallenAngel' on this Wiki, to ask for futher details.
Starfall
Starfall is an independant rules system that allows players to design and play their own raced in a balanced and fair way. It was designed with strategic battles and long term campaign play in mind and uses a variable scale system so players can play in whatever sapce they have. Originally designed completely seperately from Paper Battles there is now a supliment in the works along with a campaign setting based in the paper battles universe.
Both the initial rules system (along with campaign rules and a campaign setting) and the Paper Battle supliment are still in their initial stages of writing and playtesting but a copy of both will be made available to the players of Paper Battles once it reaches the beta testing stages.
At the moment the rules only allow for naval battles though there are plans to introduce planetary conflict though these may not make the initial rules release.
